研究领域为沉积矿床学、碳酸盐岩沉积学，研究方向主要集中在贵州沉积型矿产（如磷矿、锰矿等）相关的古海洋环境演化与元素循环、碳酸盐岩沉积相与成岩作用等方面的研究。

l （1）主持国家级、省级及校级项目5项。以第一作者身份发表论文10余篇，其中SCI收录论文7篇。
l （2）承担本科生《创新训练》、《矿产资源管理》、《矿产资源开发利用与规划》和《教学实习与设计》（乌当野外地质综合实习）以及研究生《地球化学进展》、《沉积地质学》、《岩石学进展》和《地质工程研究方法》等课程全部或部分教学任务。
l （3）目前在读硕士研究生4人。
